The instructions on the following pages have been prepared to ensure a smooth, quick and easy assembly and installation of your new roll-out Cargo Bed. Below you will find a list of tools that will make assembly and installation of your truck bed extender quick and easy.

Begin by unpacking all material and hardware and check it against the drawings on the following pages to verify that all required parts are included.

CAUTION: PLEASE READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS FIRST BEFORE PROCEEDING WITH INSTALLATION.

Hardware Required For Installation

This installation should take approximately 2-3 hours, depending upon your experience level.

Overview

With the following instructions you will pre-install the Cargo Bed outside of the host vehicle using the two sheets of plywood.

Because the Cargo Bed is made with high grade steel and is built to last, we recommend you have somebody assist you with the installation.

Step #1 – Mounting onto Bottom Plywood

1. Place the Construction Grade Plywood on top of 2 saw horses.
2. First, with the tailgate closed, measure from the cab end of the box to the inside of the tailgate. Subtract 2 3/4” from this length. Measure from the HANDLE END, mark the plywood and cut straight across.
3. 3. Once the plywood has been cut, lay it into the truck and note where the ridges are on the truck bed. When mounting the plywood, you want to have the bolts attach through the top of the ridges. If you bolt through the bottom of a ridge, you risk deforming the truck bed. Select 2 top ridges off to either side and mark them for bolting the plywood onto the truck bed.
4. Once you have the ridges marked, place the cargo bed onto the plywood. Align it so that the mounting holes line up to the dips on the truck bed.
5. 5. Mark the drill holes and remove the plywood and Cargo Bed from the vehicle. Drill the holes in the plywood and attach the bolts.
   Tighten until the bolts are countersunk into the plywood. Do not over tighten!

Step #2 – Mounting Plywood Top

1. First, with the tailgate closed, measure from the cab end of the box to the inside of the tailgate. Subtract 2 3/4” from this length. Measure from the HANDLE END, mark the plywood and cut.
2. Cut the good one-side plywood to the same length. Place the plywood (good side up) on top, flush with the leading edge at the handle end & inline with the bottom plywood from front to back. Handle should stick out 2 3/4” from end of plywood.
3. 3. Clamp the plywood to the upper section of the Cargo Bad Frame. Mark a line 11” from the sides and 10 3/4” from the front. Mark parallel lines every 10” from the 10-3/4” mark going towards the rear of the Cargo Bed for as many cross braces the bed has minus the rear brace. Drill 7/32” pilot holes at all intersections and install the 1/4 x 1-1/2” self taping floorboard screws. A good plan is to completely drill and install 2 of the floorboard screws in one of the cross members before you proceed with drilling the remainder pilot holes.

Step #3 – Attaching to the vehicle

**Take extra precaution when drilling into the bed of the host vehicle to avoid fuel tank, wiring and cross members!

1. Place the sandwich in the truck and center between the wheel-wells. Allow 1/4” clearance at front of the cab end and you should now have approximately 1/2” clearance between handle and tailgate.
2. Carefully roll the transfer frame out to allow for the installation of the first 6 bolts at the cab end.
   Slide out and take the top portion off in order to provide access to all the mount points for the bottom portion.
3. **Take extra precaution when drilling into the bed of the host vehicle to avoid fuel tank, wiring and cross members! Please ensure that you have enough room as you will need access with a ratchet or a wrench in order to tighten the nuts properly.
4. Use a 13/64” drill bit to drill pilot holes. Place 3 or 4 down each side in the base frame mounting plywood.
   The drill holes must be on the ridges.
5. Slide the top portion of the Cargo Bed into the installed bottom part.

Important:
Failure to “securely” install a fastener in every Base Frame mounting hole – will cause an EXTREME REDUCTION in the Cargo Bed weight carrying capacity, and will also void your warranty!
